Sitz Baths are commonly used to heal the perineum and umbilical cord post birth. They are also widely used for pelvic congestion, hemorrhoids, anal fissures and symptoms of IBS.

To prepare the healing infusion add 1/2 cup of herbs to 1 quart of boiling water, remove from heat and let sit for 20 minutes. Next Strain off the herbs and then add the tea to your bath water, a Peri Bottle, or soak cotton pads and freeze them for an ice pack. Use a diluted mix around the umbilical cord.
